Forum 2000 Conference Prague

IEP Founder & Executive Chairman, Steve Killelea will be speaking at the upcoming Forum 2000 Conference in Prague. It is a forum that pursues the legacy of Václav Havel by supporting the values of democracy and respect for human rights, assisting the development of civil society, and encouraging religious, cultural and ethnic tolerance. It provides a platform for global leaders, as well as thinkers and courageous individuals from every field of endeavor, to openly debate and share these critical issues.

In today’s world, democracies are under mounting pressure from internal divisions, the resurgence of authoritarianism, the spread of disinformation, and the disruptive impact of new technologies. This international conference will bring together policymakers, experts, and thought leaders to explore how global democratic actors can reconfigure cooperation to meet these urgent challenges.

This year the discussions will focus on strengthening democratic alliances in a fractured world, countering 21st-century authoritarianism, advancing the Forum for Ukraine, addressing the complex relationship between democracy and technology, and examining both regional and thematic approaches to safeguarding democratic values.
