Global Peace Index 2025 – Sydney Launch

The Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) invites you to the Sydney launch of the Global Peace Index (GPI) 2025. This event will present key findings from the GPI, offering regional and thematic insights into peace and security trends. The session will explore how evidence-based data can support more effective peacebuilding strategies in today’s global context.

Speakers:

  • Steve Killelea – Founder & CEO, Institute for Economics and Peace
  • John Patterson – Chief of Staff, World Vision Australia
  • Melissa Conley Tyler – Executive Director, Asia-Pacific Development, Diplomacy & Defence Dialogue

Produced by the Institute for Economics & Peace, the GPI is the world’s leading measure of global peacefulness. It covers 163 countries and territories, representing 99.7% of the world’s population, and evaluates 23 indicators across three domains: Societal Safety and Security, Ongoing Conflict, and Militarisation.

Join us for a timely and insightful conversation on global peace trends and the role of data in informing practical responses to conflict and insecurity.

Note: Event participation is by invitation only. If you wish to attend, please submit the registration form by 22 July 2025.
