Women Peacemakers Positive Peace Training

To support a culture of nonviolence and social cohesion in Cambodia with Positive Peace and To strengthen a locally trained pool of individuals committed to implement peacebuilding actions, the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) is partnering with Women Peace Makers (WPM) for project "Intersectional Approach toward Community Transformation for Peace".

The workshop is the third phase of a three-phase approach that includes co-developing a contextually relevant peace leadership curriculum, training 25 interethnic youth on IEP’s Positive Peace framework to serve as local resource for peace in conflict transformation and peace education, and fostering sustained engagement to ensure ongoing impact.

Facilitated by IEP Partnership Development Manager, Patricia Garcia, the Positive Peace Workshop will bring together 25 participants to raise awareness of the Positive Peace Framework. The workshop places IEP’s research into the hands of people and help communities develop practical, concrete actions to strengthen the social structures, attitudes and institutions that foster peace.
